Polish your nails with several drops of almond oil. After that, use a chamois buffer so that you can remove the upper thin layer of your nails. Do this every week so that you can prevent the condition from appearing once again.
Fungus are usually microorganisms or yeast which develop in a wet, warm, and damp environment. The ones which are more prone to yeast are toe nails.
This issue can be approached in 2 ways: soak your nails in some antibacterial tea tree oil or some apple cider vinegar for 15 minutes. Repeat the procedure every day until you’re sure that the fungus has disappeared.
This type of discoloration usually appears because of lack of vitamin E.
Consume 400 IU of vitamin E twice a day so that you can prevent this condition. You can also use oils like almonds, hazelnuts, wheat germ and peanuts because they’re amazing antioxidants.
A nail injury or zinc deficiency are usually the main causes behind white spots.
Nutritionists claim that we should consume 50 mg of zinc every day. You can take it as a supplement or use more foods rich in zinc: sesame seeds, peas, pumpkin seeds and red meat.

Iron deficiency is the main reason for this nail condition.
In case your blood tests show iron deficiency, take 325 mg of iron sulfate 3 times a day.
Brittle or Split Nails
Split or brittle nails usually appear because of lack of moisture or lack of biotin, type of B vitamin.
You can take an oral medicine called Biotin (vitamin) for 6 months. You can find it in 1 mg size or smaller. Take it 3 times a day. Pregnant women mustn’t consume it! Biotin is considered to be the best against this kind of a problem, but you can also use calcium, gelatin and colloidal minerals.
